700 megabytes was a lot in 1995, outsizing plenty of hard drives in that era. Since all of the installation files on the Windows 95 RTM CD take up only 40MB at most (yes, they are compressed), that means plenty of room to stuff a bunch of other junk in. You know, the software catalog and that one bumper car game?

Perhaps it's time for you to find some other mysteries embodied in the Windows 95 CD-ROM. What are the policy editor and the folder "oldmsdos" for? Go try them!

Since I've been working on Quacker, I'd certainly consider adapting the existing video index for the Blue OS Museum to SQLite in the future, and thereby leverage some of its capabilities to make organizing the videos easier, so that some can be categorized by different CDs or the like.

I'd want to chronicle the interactive samplers that came with Windows 9x (including beta versions) and standalone CDs down the line by indexing the videos right on my site, and also provide screenshots of each page. There really isn't a solid extensive database out there for these types of demos from what I see.

Take a look at the HyperMedia Group logo... something about it feels off.
