A joke video I made back when I was still playing along with the whole "hehehehheaheaheu Windows ME bad" charade.

At play here is a 133MHz Am5x86 computer, though I had to install Windows ME on some later HP Pavilion computer and move the hard drive over since this computer got stuck at the first part. I intentionally switched off turbo mode to cripple the CPU to see how that would play out. But much of the slowness here would really be inherited from Windows 98. As the old saying goes, "if you have installed Windows 98 on a 486 machine, you need to cut it out."

Background music is a MIDI rendition of the Hellfire soundtrack played on a Sound Blaster AWE64 Value.

I recognize the song in the new outro to be from like... Fire Shark/Same Same Same's soundtrack.

I was about to mention a video of the same subject made by Lima Golf Romeo but I want to make sure I do not end up with misinformation in my comment.

Blue Horizon: Press in general are deceptive as hell (I would rather read propaganda from my government) and Microsoft is also somewhat at fault for messing up expectation of manufacturers about the WinNT home edition coming sooner. I am not sure if the latter is true however.

Trey26: Indeed, Trey. (By the way, I think you should have a website.)

Kugee, You never disappoint.

Staggering how much false negativity has been spread about this version from the tech press alone, and it didn't help that many manufacturers didn't get the memo that DOS drivers weren't entirely maintained here, which led to heavy reuse of Windows 98 drivers and, naturally, a messy configuration.

In any case, this video would influence a lot of later videos in the timeline because of how it is edited.

First time testing a Bash script I wrote to help automate the posting of videos to Razorback, looks like it's still a bit rocky. I had been holding back some big news for the last few months, but I'll be ready to announce it soon. What is it? Watch the video to find out...
